UFPel Participates in the Congress of the Portuguese Association of Anthropology

UFPel’s professors Renata Menasche (Graduate Program in Anthropology) and Nicole Benemann (Undergraduate Program in Gastronomy) have been to Coimbra participating in the 6th Congress of the Portuguese Association of Anthropology (APA).

Nicole Benemann presented a work entitled Chef’s Table: thinking, cooking and eating. Renata presented Festivals and Daily Life, Fences and Bridges: a look upon peasants’ feeding practices in southern Brazil.

This participation is a result of both professors attendance to the 3rd Seminar on Food and Traditional Cultural Expressions, held in Vila Real, also in Portugal.
