NEPPU (Center for Studies in Public Policies) Held Conference Based on Global Survey on Democracy
The first academic event of 2016 of the Center for Studies in Public Policies (NEPPU) from the Graduate Program in Political Science was a conference on the World Values Survey, a worldwide research investigating the relationship between beliefs, ideas and values of societies and democracy.
The event, held on March 9, was in charge of Professor Henrique Carlos Castro (UFRGS), who coordinates the survey in Brazil. The World Values Survey has been happening regularly since 1981 and has a current database of more than 100 countries.
