A realiza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 do Departamento de Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia de Alimentos (DCTA) e Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia de Alimentos da Faem.<br \/>\nEle ir\u00e1 falar sobre a Universidade, o programa de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Food Science da UoG, al\u00e9m de dar \u00eanfase na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de fibras e tecnologias de micro e nano encalsulamento por electrospinning e electrospray.<\/p>\n<p>O professor \u00e9 coordenador da P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Food Science na University of Guelph (UoG) que pertence ao programa Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) e est\u00e1 no Brasil (UFPel) atrav\u00e9s do Programa de atra\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisador visitante (PVE-Ci\u00eancia sem Fronteiras), cujo projeto \u00e9 coordenado pelo professor Alvaro Renato Guerra Dias, do PPGCTA (DCTA-FAEM-UFPel) e que foi aprovado e financiado pela CAPES em 2014.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Loong-Tak Lim obteve seu t\u00edtulo de doutor pelo departamento de Food Science da University of Guelph (Canad\u00e1) em 1999 e o bacharelado em Food Science pela Acadia University (Canad\u00e1) em 1994. Atualmente \u00e9 professor associado e Coordenador do Programa de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o no Departamento de Food Science na University of Guelph. O Prof. Dr. Lim \u00e9 l\u00edder da linha de pesquisa em Embalagens e biomateriais (Packaging and Biomaterials). O seu grupo de pesquisa foca em v\u00e1rios t\u00f3picos relacionados com embalagens, micro e nanoencapsulamento, filmes e coberturas de biopol\u00edmeros e tecnologia e processamento de caf\u00e9. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Uma das \u00e1reas chaves da sua pesquisa \u00e9 explorar as tecnologias de electrospinning e electrospray para o desenvolvimento de embalagens ativas e inteligentes, bem como o encapsulamento e libera\u00e7\u00e3o de compostos bioativos para aplica\u00e7\u00e3o em alimentos e f\u00e1rmacos. Antes de integrar a equipe da University of Guelph o Prof. Dr. Lim trabalhou na companhia <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. (Bolton, Canada), onde ele era o gerente de projetos, trabalhando extensivamente com moldagem por sopro com est\u00e1gios simples e duplos. O Prof. tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 autor e co-autor de mais de 55 artigos cient\u00edficos, 8 cap\u00edtulos de livros e editor do livro &#8220;Poly(latic acid): Synthesis, Structure, Properties, Processing and application&#8221;.
